New FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Maps

As of December 7, 2018, St. Johns County has adopted new FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Maps (Flood Maps) with updated Base Flood Elevations and flood zone boundaries.  This information should be used for all new development in St. Johns County. St. Johns Golf Club Celebrates 30-year Anniversary – Join us for a New Year's Day Shootout Tournament on Tuesday, January 1. Shotgun start at 8 a.m. The  format is two-person teams with gross and net aggregate scores. Entry is $30 per player for SJGC members and $40 for non-members. Annual Christmas "Tree-cycling" Program Residents are encouraged to bring Christmas trees to drop off locations January 2 - 4, 5, and 12. Only natural trees can be recycled, and should be free of decorations and debris. Designated areas and signage will direct participants where to drop off their trees. Hastings Farm Share Event – Parks and Recreation has partnered with Farm Share to give out free fresh meats, fruits, veggies, and boxed and canned goods, Saturday, January 5 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at W.E. Harris Community Center, 400 E. Harris St. Food will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. Farm Share Details. Recycle Turkey Cooking Oil – Residents are encouraged to go green this holiday season with free turkey cooking oil recycling on January 4 from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Francis Field and behind the Parks and Recreation office. Please allow oil to cool before collecting it in a safe, sealed container. Those who donate will receive free funnels for future recycling. For more information, please call 904.547.8130. Alta Mar Drive Road Closure – Alta Mar Drive in the Oak Bridge community will be closed due to a collapsed sanitary sewer main repair at Alta Mar and Salt Creek Drives. Due to unforeseen conditions, the previous notification has been changed.
