Residents and Businesses Urged to Conserve Water – Water demands have dramatically increased due to a lack of rainfall and high temperatures. SJC Utilities urges customers to conserve water by observing mandatory irrigation schedules and reducing water usage whenever possible. Homes with odd numbers or no address may irrigate on Wednesdays and Saturdays, homes with even numbers on Thursdays and Sundays, and nonresidential properties on Tuesdays and Fridays. Help Fight F.O.G.! The St. Johns County Utility Pretreatment Department is working to minimize the amount of FOG introduced to our sewer systems through monitoring and education.

Prescription Drug Disposal – Keep pharmaceuticals out of our waters by not flushing unwanted medication. Safely disposed of them at  the Sheriff's office. Operation Medicine Cabinet.

Water conservation tip: Check your garden hose for leaks at the connection to the spigot. If it leaks, replace the hose washer and insure a tight connection using pipe tape and a wrench.
