Recreation Advisory Board (2) – 1 Regular & 1 At-Large
Purpose of Committee: An advisory committee that provides new ideas and assists in solving community recreation problems to help ensure leisure time programs and facilities for residents of St. Johns County. The Recreation Advisory Boards primary responsibility is to serve in an advisory capacity to the Board of County Commissioners.
Qualifications: Must be a resident of St. Johns County.
Term: Members serve a term of four (4) years.
Meeting Schedule: This Board meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 3:00 PM in the BOCC Executive Board Conference Room, County Administration Building, 500 San Sebastian View.

Planning and Zoning Agency (2)
Purpose of Committee: Advisory capacity and recommending body to the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners on matters relating to zoning of land, amendment of Land Development Regulations, Land Use amendments and Major Modifications to Planned Unit Developments and Planned Rural Developments, including those functions as the County’s Local Planning Agency per Chapter 163, Florida Statutes.
Qualifications: Must be a register voter in St Johns County. Members must file financial disclosure.
Meeting Schedule: This Board meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at 1:30pm in the County Auditorium, 500 San Sebastian View.

Fire Code Board of Appeals (7) – 2 Regular & 5 Alternates
Purpose of Committee: To rule on matters relating to the Fire Code and its enforcement in accordance with NFPA Section 1.10.
Qualifications: Applicant must be a County resident. Seeking those with experience in one of the following: Engineering or architectural design; General contracting; Fire protection contracting; Building code enforcement; Legal.
Meeting Schedule: Meetings of the Board of Appeals shall be held at the call of the chair, at such other times as the Board of Appeals determines, and within 30 days of the filing of a notice of appeal.
